Family mediation is a form of alternative dispute resolution (ADR), facilitated by a MN Rule 114 Qualified Neutral. Mediation is intended to address challenging or stressful situations through the use of person-centered decision-making & creative problem-solving. The process strives to restore peace and reduce the risk and impact of continued conflict on individuals and families. It is voluntary, confidential, affordable, and solution focused. It can be used to address many different kinds of family concerns.
Coaching is a skills-based, customizable approach to address high conflict situations. The focus is on learning and applying skills such as communication, emotion regulation, and flexible thinking. Coaching may be done with 1 or both individuals involved in a high conflict situation.
The MN Board of Social Work requires newly licensed social workers to complete a minimum number of supervised practice hours within the first years of practice. Individual board approved clinical and non-clinical supervision is available for LSW's and LGSW's.
